David Vincent's century inspired Clontarf to a 28-run win over Civil Service in their Tillain Cup final at Rush.
He scored an unbeaten 101 from just 50 balls (9 fours, 5 sixes) adding 114 in 8 overs with Andrew Delany (29) for the 5th wicket as the Castle Avenue side piled up 225 for 5.
There were runs too for Andrew Poynter, who also made 29, and Aaron McGeehan (23) and skipper Shane O'Brien (17).
Vincent was also to the fore with the ball as he claimed 2 for 7 in three overs, and with Sameer Dutt also taking three wickets it looked like a foregone conclusion.
However Jinson John (59*) and Sunny Malik (47) hit a combined 12 sixes in an 8th wicket stand of 112 to take Civil Service to 197 for 8 when the overs ran out.
A very entertaining contest, with David Vincent's all-round efforts proving the difference.
