Downpatrick collected their first silverware of the season as they beat Lisburn by seven wickets to win the NCU Midweek Cup.

Batting first, the Wallace Park side were restricted to just 112, having been 69 for 2 at one stage.

Jamie Atkinson (35 ret), Jordan McMullan (20), and skipper Michael Keery their top scorers.

For Downpatrick Ramkumar Vattikuti took four wickets, while Sidharth Kumar took two.

The chase was a pretty straightforward one, with the skipper Indudhar Jagadeesh top-scoring with 32 and Gavin Ringland hitting an unbeaten 28 as they reached their target in the 18th over.

NCU President Brian Walsh presented the trophy and medals.
