Ballyspallen have been dealt a double blow with the departure of professional Demith Perera and a probable season ending injury for Stephen Kennedy.
26 year-old Sri Lankan Perera was recalled by his club for their domestic campaign, scoring 120 for Kurunegala in their first-class match last week.
Opening bat and spinner Stephen Kennedy suffered a broken bone and hairline fracture in another bone in his knee during a T20 match with Strabane last month.
Pakistani Zeeshan Malik is the club's choice as a replacement for Perera.
The 26 year-old is a top-order batsman and occasional spin-bowler.
