RBAI  will face Strabane Academy in the final of the Schools Cup after beating Campbell College by 40 runs in Tuesday’s semi-final.

Adam Leckey followed up his impressive 60 with four wickets but it was James West’s three wickets in the space of nine balls that turned the match.

Campbell, in pursuit of RBAI’s 206 for five, were in control at 109 for two with captain Carson McCullough having been dropped on the boundary. But West trapped him leg before next over and followed up with the wickets of Adam Heasley and, crucially, Seb Yeats, caught in the covers immediately after getting his 50 to reduce Campbell to 122 for five.

The final, due to be played Friday, will be put back to next week because of exam commitments for the Strabane players.
