The North West Warriors joined the Northern Knights at the top of the Interpo 50-overs Cup table after winning an exciting last-over tussle at Bready.
An unbeaten 58 from stand-in skipper Shane Getkate proved crucial, steering his side over the line in a tense finale.
The Instonians player showed class and composure as the finishing line approached, proving the perfect foil for William McClintock, he clubbed four sixes - three from one Jacob Mulder over - as they shared a fifth wicket stand of 63 in eight overs to take the hosts to the brink of victory.
The successful chase of 254 had been set up by Stephen Doheny, as the Merrion man top-scored with 78, sharing half century stands with Ani Chore (36) - who had to retire hurt after a blow to the foot before returning - and Eglinton professional Mike Erlank (28).
Two wickets apiece for Theo van Woerkom, Matthew Humphreys and Ruhan Pretorius saw the Warriors wobble, but Getkate proved resolute to seal the win.
Earlier, the Knights squandered a blistering start from Ross Adair, who hit 5 fours and cleared the ropes 5 times in a whirlwind 76 from just 56 balls.
He shared an opening stand of 114 in 19.3 overs with Ruhan Pretorius (50), and with that platform a total of 275-300 looked very much on.
The spinners though pegged back the Knights, with Scott Macbeth getting two wickets, Mike Erlank four, and Cian Robertson conceding just 29 runs against his former side - the Instonians player on a season loan to Boyd Rankin's side.
Morgan Topping (32) and Neil Rock (24) got runs in the middle over, but many perished in the chase for quick runs - two excellent boundary catches by Jared Wilson ultimately proving crucial in the final denouement.
The Knights and Warriors are now on equal points at the top of the table, separated only by net run rate at the half-way stage of the Cup, which now takes a break until the end of the summer.
