Tim Tector has been handed the captain's armband for Leinster Lightning's trip to the North West, with regular skipper George Dockrell not available.
Although only 20, the YMCA opener has a wealth of experience, not only the current skipper at Claremont Road, but a former captain of all the Irish age groups, including leading the Ireland Under 19's to their best finish at a World Cup last year.
Lightning are clearly looking to the future, and see the chance to give Tim a development opportunity as he looks to take his game to the next level.
Tim will also have the added bonus of having his brother Jack back in the squad, although Harry is missing along with Lorcan Tucker and the injured Simi Singh.
Lightning's resources have been tested to the limit, and only two players with senior international experience are in the squad - an all-time low for the Dubliners in the 11 years of the relaunched competition.
The match at Bready starts on Tuesday at 10:45am.
