Half centuries from Morgan Topping and Cade Carmichael helped Northern Knights to a six-wicket win against Leinster Lightning in an interpro warmup at Stormont.
Both sides used 13 players in a 40 overs contest, with the Dubliners making 220 thanks primarily to a half century from Cormac McLoughlin-Gavin and 48 from Tim Tector.
There were also useful 30s from Joey Carroll and Mark Donegan.
Matthew Foster was the pick of the home side attack, while Cian Robertson and Tyron Koen also did well.
The Knights top order found the wicket equally to their liking, with Instonians' Cade Carmichael making an excellent 54 before retiring, while Paddy Beverland (40) also did well on his own patch.
Waringstown's Morgan Topping showed just why he is so highly rated in a magnifcent unbeaten 57 and you get the feeling that this could well be the real breakthrough season for the former Ireland U19 international as he looks to take his game to the next level.
Tyron Koen - now at CIYMS - also showed glimpses of his quality in a hard hit unbeaten 30 as the win was achieved in the 38th over.
YMCA and Ireland U19 teenager Reuben Wilson was the most impressive of the Lightning bowling unit.
The Northern Knights are back in action this Bank Holiday Monday when they entertain the Warriors at Stormont (11am).
