There is a new captain at Ballyspallen with James Thompson taking the armband, and he will have Damith Perera back as the overseas professional for the campaign.

There are two new faces with Kyle Morrow arriving, while Jake Wenlock - originally from England but now living in Limavady - is a bit of an unknown quantity.

The loss of young opening bowler Josh Wilson to Brigade is a blow, and Jacob Logan-Wilson is also laving, making the short trip to join The Nedd again.

“We are looking forward to another year at Bridge Park, for which we welcome Jake and Kyle to the club," said Thompson.

"Damith returns as our overseas player. He is a great coach who will be doing one-to-one sessions with our youngsters during the summer holidays.

"This season we expect to give a few young players an opportunity in our 1st XI”.

Ballyspallen begin their season on April 29th when they face Eglinton.
