NCU Section One side Donacloney Mill have signed South African wicketkeeper/batsman Peet Pienaar for the upcoming season.

The 23 year-old has previous Northern Ireland experience, having enjoyed a prolific campaign in 2019 with Ardmore.

He helped them to three trophies as well as reaching the Irish National Cup final, scoring 1404 runs at an average of 82.59.

He made the record score for the club - an unbeaten 257 against Sligo, where he shared in an opening stand of 378 with Mark Chambers.

Donacloney Mill finished sixth in Section One in 2022, and will be hoping that Pienaar has another productive campaign.

Pienaar will make his debut at home to Ballymena when the NCU season begins on Saturday April 22nd.
