Harry Dyer scored an excellent half century but it was in vain as Ricus Kramm took eight wickets to set up a six wicket win for the Northern Titans Academy against Ireland U19s in Pretoria.
Dyer's CSNI team-mate Ryan Hunter and Jordan Neill both made 23 in an opening stand of 52 as Ireland had first use of a pitch that was a little on the 'tacky' side.
Helped by overcast conditions, right-arm pacer Kramm exploited them to perfection, as 52 for 0 in the 7th over quickly became 67 for 5 in the 17th - all five wickets to Kramm.
Harry Dyer batted superbly, hitting 7 fours and a six on his way to an unbeaten 50, staging a rescue of sorts adding 42 with Eoin Birch (19) for the seventh wicket.

Once it was broken, Kramm returned to take the final three wickets to finish with the excellent analysis of 8 for 23, as Ireland were dismissed for 162 in 39 overs.
With the sun breaking through in the afternoon, batting became easier, and the hosts ensured a series levelling win.
Opener Bouwer hit 5 fours and cleared the ropes four times in a hard-hit 59, and despite the best efforts of Reuben Wilson (2-25) the hosts eased to victory in the 34th over.
The teams are back in action again tomorrow (TUES), with the fourth and final game in the series on Wednedsay.
