CIYMS made it three out of three on Day 2 of the European T10 in Malaga to end the day clear at the top of the table.

The opening match of Day 2 of Championship Week in the Euro T10 saw yesterday's winless sides Beveren and Hornchurch saw a Golden Ball win for the English champions.

They had posted 139/2, highest total of the week to date, thanks to George Harrison's 68* off 28, and looked to be cruising to the win until a late onslaught from Mohammad Noman who hit 43 off 17, 6x6 and 1x4, accounting for 40 of them!

Beveren needed two off the final delivery and were just inches short as they lost their final wicket to the runout.

The Golden Ball rules are the Batting side need to score two runs to win, if they fail to do that the fielding side are the winners. History was with the fielding side as the records are 25 wins to 17 in their favour - make that 26/17 as the batter holed out to give Hornchurch their first win of the week.

Second up today were CIYMS and Sporting Alfas and Chris Dougherty was again in good touch with his 48 (5x4, 3x6) coming off only 19 balls. CI posted 110/7 with Jake Sunderland claiming 3-20, and Greg Marc Smith 2-14 for the Spaniards.

The game was over as a contest after just two overs, as Carson McCullough took 2-8, and Allen Coulter 2-6. All six CI bowlers took wickets Adam Kennedy with the best figures (3-14) while Jacob Mulder, Chris Robinson and John Matchett each took one.

The Sporting Alfas were bowled out for 47 in 6.1 overs to give CIYMS a 63 run winning margin and NRR boost.

The third game of the day saw Farmers play last year's champions Pak-I-Care, who recorded their second 9 wicket win in as many games.

With 'wild card' Nicolaj Laegsgaard falling to the first ball of the match it was again an uphill struggle for Farmers, who struggled to 82/7 with Kamran Raja, Atif Muhammad and Muhammed Kamran each picking up two wickets.

Runs again for Daniel Doyle-Calle (38* off 21) and Muhammad Kamran (36* off 24) to go with their unbeaten half-centuries yesterday as Pak-I-Care raced home in 7.4 overs.

French champions Dreux produced both the highest total and highest innings of the week to date as they blasted their way to 158 against Sporting Alfas. Ahmad Nabi was in blistering for as he scored 93 off just 30 deliveries, 80 of those runs in boundaries, 5x4 and 10x6. Amidst the mayhem Jake Sunderland claimed 3-22 of his two overs while Garry Park had 2-22 in his 6 deliveries.

Spanish international Jack Perman kept Alfas in the game, matching Nabi's count of 10x6s but when he was lbw, knocked off his feet by a Wahid Abdul yorker the chase fizzled out and Dreux had 36 runs to spare over their Spanish opponents.

The final match of the day saw CIYMS face Pak-I-Care Badalona, and it was that man Muhammad Kamran who struck early for the current champions, removing Chris Dougherty and Carson McCullough in his opening burst. But an innings oif 70 off just 31 balls from Jason van der Merwe carried CI to a respectable 111/5 in their 20 overs, with Shafaat Ali Syed joining Kamran with two wickets in his spell.

Tight opening overs from McCullough and Allen Coulter kept the usually free scoring Daniel Doyle-Calle in check and when he tried to force a Jacob Mulder top-spinner he could only edge to Dougherty. There was no let up from the CI bowlers and Chris Robinson claimed another three wicket haul and Mulder added a second in his final over. Allen Coulter bowled the final over, and with his two overs conceding only 10 runs, and that included two boundaries CI ran out comfortable 23 run victors.

CIYMS top the table on 6 points with Pak-I-Care and Dreux sharing second spot each with 4 points.
