Ciiftonville Academy have signed experienced South African all-rounder Aubrey Swanepoel for the upcoming campaign.

The 33 year-old is a veteran of 124 first-class matches, with 13 centuries to his name, including a best of 168 not out.

His right-arm off spin has also accounted for more than 300 wickets across all formats, and the Knights player is sure to be a quality acquistion for the Premiership side.

"We are very happy to be signing a player of such high calibre in Aubrey," said Cliftonville Academy Coach Jared Wilson.

"The club searched long and hard to try and get that middle-order batter and front line spin bowler. 

"We feel like Aubrey is that perfect fit into our team and our plans of trying to achieve specific goals."
