Trevor Britton is leaving CIYMS to join Muckamore.

The 40 year-old enjoyed a very successful spell at CIYMS, where he enjoyed a trophy laden eight seasons.

The former Ireland A international picked up 151 wickets at just under 20 at Belmont, although his appearances over the last few seasons were restricted due to a cancer diagnosis.

"I am absolutely delighted that Ted has decided to join the club," said Muckamore captain Neil Gill.

"I have known Ted for a long time having played against him many times and I actually tried to sign him before.

"He’s not only a super off-spin bowler but he will also add depth to the batting and his experience will certainly help our younger guys.

"On top of that he’s one of the nicest guys in cricket and will fit right in at Moylena with players and supporters."

Britton was upbeat about the move, deciding the time was right for a new chapter on his cricketing career after spells at Bready, Donemana, Brigade, Bonds Glen and CIYMS.

"After eight amazing seasons at CIYMS, who I can't speak highly enough about, I have decided on a new challenge at Muckamore.

"I felt the time was right and once I spoke to Giller and the plans for the season ahead, I really wanted to get on board in trying to help get the club back to where they want to be.

"I can’t wait to get started, roll on April!"
