There was sad news over the weekend with the death reported of former Indian cricketer Abi Satham.

He was overseas professional at Ballymena in the mid 1980's, playing alongside his good friend Kiran More.

Satham was an excellent all-rounder, who got oh so close to Test recognition when he was named 12th man for India.

He also played as an overseas professional for VRA in The Netherlands.
