Ireland U19's finished the inaugural World Cup bottom of their Super Six group after a mixed campaign.
They recorded warm-up wins over Zimbabwe and UAE, while victory over Indonesia ensured progress to the Super 12 phase.
They were hampered by a fractured thumb sustained by skipper Amy Hunter, while their tendency to conceded too many bowling extras probably cost them a win against West Indies.
Annabel Squires topped the run charts with 177 at 22.12, scoring one half century, as did Zara Craig and Georgina Dempsey.
The Irish batters struggled to get their strike rates above 100, with only Rebecca Gough and Aimee Maguire reaching three figures.
Another area where work is needed is their running between the wickets, which at times was kamikaze. Pehaps not surprising given their lack of a substantial match programme during the Irish summer.
Zara Craig led the wicket takers with nine, while there were five apiece for Kia McCartney, Ellie McGee, Aimee Maguire and Freya Sargent.
All in all much for the Irish to ponder on. They were certainly great ambassadors off the field, and given that ten of the current squad are eligible for the next tournament there is the potential for on field success too.
