Fox Lodge are in prime position to claim fourth place in Group A, after all-rounder Johnny Robinson sparked a collapse in the St Johnston ranks.
“It was good to get back to winning ways after losing the T20 to Killyclooney on Friday evening,” said Robinson. “The top order got back into some much needed form, and Jason Milligan played very well for his 70 supported by Dean McCarter (30). At 100 odd for 1 we were hoping to get well over 200 in the 32 overs but lost five wickets quickly in the middle period. It took some decent hitting from Craig Doherty and a patient 15 from debutant Jordan Cochrane to get what we felt was a par score of 184.
“St Johnston came out strongly and they scored quickly in the first powerplay but we kept taking wickets. It was looking like a tight finish until they had a bit of a collapse at the end. It’s good to get a win, and stay in the top half of the table going into the last game against Brigade. Hopefully we can push on and take another win before heading into the second half of the season in the top league.”
