Jersey Cricket has announced the first ever T10 Cricket tournament in Jersey. ‘The Brooks Macdonald Jersey T10’ will see the four Jersey Cricket Premier League teams (ATF Fuel St Ouen Springfield CC / Farmers Caesareans CC / Old Victorians CC / RGA Walkovers CC) go head-to-head to find out who will be crowned National T10 champions.

This new exciting competition will be played on the 27th and 28th of August 2021 at Les Quennevais Sport Centre playing fields. Jersey Cricket will be running match day hospitality on the 28th August and for further information on this please contact James Robertson on james@theeventshop.je.

T10 cricket or Ten10 cricket is the shortest form of cricket played around the World. Two teams play a single innings, which is restricted to a maximum of ten overs per side (60 balls), with the game lasting 90 minutes. This format will see some high-powered attacking cricket with the ultimate prise of being crowned the Jersey National T10 Champions 2021 on the line.

Jersey Cricket CEO, Craig Meredith commented:

“Following the impact the global pandemic has had on events we wanted to take the opportunity to showcase the explosive attacking talent of cricketers in Jersey and what better way than a new short sharp format to spark your interest. Please join us at Les Quennevais on the 27th and 28th to watch the drama unfold as it happens” “From a domestic cricket point of view players might be playing a very different role to what they are used to, but that will be a great learning experience for them with the key being to score as fast as possible.”
