Jersey and Italy have pulled away from the pack, both securing their third win in three matches on a glorious day of cricket in Guernsey. Jersey faced Denmark in the morning in the Dane's first match at this event, having had their game against Norway re-scheduled to 17th June because of rain.

Denmark chose to field upon winning the toss and were rewarded on the second ball of the innings, with Ferraby's attempted sweep catching the off-stump. Unfazed, Jersey remained disciplined with the bat and put on a solid 2nd wicket partnership of 36 runs from the 20 balls. Jersey were on course for a big total after the first ten overs, when the Danish fightback began in the field. Losing wickets in quick succession, the Jersey innings stalled, but finished on a competitive 131 for 9.

Denmark's innings got off to a horror start and never really recovered. A piece of brilliance from Jersey keeper Jake Dunford set the tone in the field, when he caught out Denmark opener Laegsgaard after sprinting 30 meters backward and putting in a full-length dive near the boundary edge. Inspired by the early wicket and the quality of fielding on display, Jersey applied pressure with the ball and collected wicket after wicket. Denmark found themselves on 36 for 6 after 9 overs, with a mountain left to climb. The Danish lower order contributed to push their total above 100, but they finished on 113 for 8, 18 runs short of the Jersey total.

Meanwhile, at College Field, Italy faced Germany in a thrilling encounter. Electing to field first, the Italian's put on pressure with the ball, bowler Baljit Singh (3-19 off 4 overs) accounting for the top order. Harmanjot Singh (40 off 33 balls) and Amir Mangal (33 off 19 balls) put on most of the runs for the German side, leading them to a defendable 134 for 8 from the 20 overs.

Italy got off to a solid start with the bat, capitalising on the power play to get to 50 inside 5 overs. With Italy looking very much in control in the chase, it was a scintillating spell from Izatullah Dawlatzai (3-24 off 4 overs) that almost undid them late in the game, but they eventually surpassed the German total in the 19th over for the loss of 5 wickets.

Italy versus Guernsey provided more drama at College Field in the afternoon. Batting first, and riding high off the morning's victory, the Italian's got off to a flying start with the opening pair of Joy Perera (47 off 28 balls) and Manpreet Singh (22 off 29 balls) putting on 70 before falling in quick succession to the bowling of Luke Le Tissier (3-17 off 4 overs). No other batter in the Italian side reached double figures after that, with the Guernsey bowlers and fielders capitalising on every opportunity. Boosted by the home support, Guernsey took the last wicket in the 20th over with the score on 121.

In the reply Guernsey were in trouble early on, losing opener Ash Wright on the very first ball. Further wickets in the early overs put Guernsey in a difficult position at 26 for 4, with 95 runs still required for the win. Ferbrache (55 off 44 balls) brought Guernsey back into contention until he fell to a stunning catch from Charanjeet Singh in the deep in the 19th over. Italy captain Shan Munasinghe (4-11 off 4 overs) put on pressure with the ball to ensure that the asking rate in the later overs was beyond reach. Guernsey eventually finished on 110 for 8 off 20 overs, falling short by 11 runs and extending the host's misery so far in this event.

Back at KGV, Jersey secured their third win in three matches in a dominant display against Norway. The Jersey batters did not waste any time in their innings, finding the boundary on many occasions. Ben Stevens (44 off 41 balls) and Jonty Jenner (35 off 27 balls) led the onslaught, pushing the Jersey score to an impressive 160 for 5 from their 20 overs.

Norway struggled to find the boundary in the reply, coming up against a well drilled Jersey fielding unit. With the asking rate climbing, the Norwegian's tried to find the straight boundaries, but instead found the safe hands on the Jersey fielders. Norway lost their last wicket with the score on 80, well short of the target and resulting in an impressive 80 runs for Jersey. Ben Stevens produced a magnificent all-round performance, with 44 runs, 3 wickets with the ball and a further 3 catches in the field to safely secure the Player of the Match award.
