All games were completed as scheduled on the second day of the European Qualifiers in The Netherlands, with Denmark, Jersey and Norway going top of their respective groups.

Denmark registered contrasting victories, as they thumped Cyprus but scraped home against Austria.

Hamid Shah hit 78 from just 49 balls (11 fours, 1 six) sharing stands of 60 and 58 with Taranjit Balaji and Freddie Klokker, who both hit 56.

Denmark ran up 189 for 6, and dismissed Cyprus for just 28 - Basit Raja and Nico Laeesgaard both claiming 3 for 5.

They were given a real fright by Austria though, as they were indebted to Mads Henriksen's 38 as they posted a modest 118.

Austria though fell just seven runs short as the Danish attack rescued them to keep their qualification hopes on track.

Germany bounced back from an opening day loss to beat France by an emphatic 120 runs.

Mudassar Muhammed (78) and Daniel Weston (70) shared an opening stand of 159 in 98 balls as Germany posted 207 for 4.

France in reply accepted their fate and batted the overs to register 87 for 5.

There was better news for the French in their match against Portugal, as they held on to win a tense encounter by two runs.

Noman Naeem (32) and Jean-Luc Lambourdiere (30) helped the French post 114 for 8, with Tariq Aziz taking 3 for 19.

Aziz then hit 48, but despite Paolo Buccimazza hitting two sixes, the Portuguese finished on 112 for 7.

Jersey top Group B after impressing in their two wins.

Ben Ward took 3 for 16 as Spain managed just 92 for 8, and then hit an unbeaten 54 from 46 balls (6 fours) as he and Jonty Jenner (34*) knocked off the runs in 14.4 overs to secure a 10-wicket win.

Ben Stevens and Harry Carlyon were the stars in their 54-run win against the Isle of Man.

The pair shared a third wicket stand of 137 in 16 overs as Jersey made 156 for 4.

Stevens hit 5 fours and cleared the ropes twice in his 75 from just 55 balls, while Carlyon hit exactly 50 in a superb stand.

Kieran Cawte (4-27) took all four Jersey wickets to fall.

Carlyon (3-12) and Stevens (3-19) then took three wickets apiece as the Man side were dismissed for 102.

Manpreet Singh's half century, coupled with Joy Perera's 34 and an undefeated 32 saw Italy score 147 for 2.

Madupa Fernando (4-22), Rakibul Hasan (3-13), and Jaspreet Singh (2-23) then shared the wickets as Finland were 91 all out.

Closest match of the day in Group B was Belgium's penultimate ball win over Finland.

Nathan Collins dominated the Finnish innings of 122 with a brilliant 74 from just 63 balls, while Faisal Khaliq (4-9) and Aziz Mohammed (3-28) starred with the ball.

Shaheryar Butt hit 6 fours and 3 sixes in a rapid 58, which was just enough to secure the win for Belgium despite a few late wobbles.

Norway enjoyed two comprehensive wins to go top of Group C.

Hayatullah Niazi (3-9) starred as the Czech Republic were held to 41 for 9 in a contest reduced to 9-overs.

Raza Iqbal's unbeaten 26 saw the runs knocked off in 32 balls to ensure the ten-wicket win.

Iqbal then took 3 for 7 as Gibraltar were skittled for 58 in the afternoon game - Abdullah Sheikh's 33 ensuring the 8-wicket win just before the half-way mark of the innings.

There was a sense of deja vu about the Guernsey win over Israel.

Yet again Tony Stokes and Will Peatfield took three wickets apiece as Israel managed just 79 for 8.

Luke Le Tissier (33*) and Matt Stokes (31*) led Guernsey to the seven wicket win.

Sweden recorded a 40-runs win against Israel, with Waqas Haider top scoring with 30 as Sweden posted 142 for 8.

Azam Mohammad took 3 for 14 as Israel replied with 102 for 8.

There are three rearranged games scheduled for 11am on Friday, with Gibraltar taking on Israel, Norway meeting Sweden, and Italy playing Jersey.
