Vanuatu ensured that every team has at least one win after beating Bermuda by four wickets today at the UKM-YDS Oval.

Bermuda batted first after winning the toss, soon finding themselves on the backfoot with both openers dismissed for low scores. Their innings ended up being largely built around a knock of 77 from captain Terryn Fray.

He and Dion Stovell put on 110 for the fourth wicket, with Stovell contributing 35, but they were the only two scores of note in Bermuda's innings. Patrick Matautaava was the pick of the Vanuatu bowlers with 4-41 as Bermuda were kept to 181-9 from their 50 overs.

Vanuatu lost Matautaava and Johnathon Dunn early on in their reply, but avoided a top order collapse with Joshua Rasu and player-coach Shane Deitz putting on 54 for the third wicket before Rasu was out for 31.

Deitz controlled the chase from then on, scoring an unbeaten 71 as his team completed a four wicket win with one over to spare.

After tomorrow's rest-day, play resumes on Saturday, when Vanuatu will play Denmark and Bermuda take on hosts Malaysia.
