The public bust up during training involving Kuamu Leverock looks to be symptomatic of a wider malaise in Bermudan cricket if today's performance against Uganda is anything to go by.
The aforementioned Leverock was again left out as Bermuda won the toss and asked Uganda to bat first. Simon Sesazi was dismissed cheaply early on, but the second wicket pairing of Roger Mukasa and Hamu Kayondo were able to put on 137 before the latter was out for 55.
Mukasa carried on, eventually reaching 97 before he was run out, and this was the top score in Uganda's total of 249-5.
Bermuda then capitulated, with only two batsmen even able to reach double figures. Uganda nearly bowled them out without changing bowlers. They opened with a pair of off-spinners in the shape of Mohammed Irfan and Frank Nsubuga, both bowling unchanged for the first 20 overs.
Nsubuga took 2-27, but Irfan was the star, taking 6-23. Once the pair were bowled out, Bermuda managed another ten balls before they were bowled out for just 60, losing by 189 runs.
Bermuda now have a match against Jersey on Wednesday which they will almost certainly need to win if they are to avoid relegation. Uganda will be playing the other team with two defeats from two matches when they take on Vanuatu.
