In the Netherlands v Hong Kong match, the Dutch lost their last seven wickets for 29 runs to be dismissed for 174 in 48.2 overs.

This was after they were given a solid platform by Man of the Match Max O'Dowd (62), and steady contributions from Peter Borren (31) and Bas de Leede (29).

Left-arm spinner Nadeem Ahmed (3-20) was the pick of the Asian sides attack.

However, the modest target proved to be too stiff for Hong Kong who were bowled out for 130 in 43 overs with Roelof van der Merwe finishing with four for 18.

Most of their hopes rested with Babar Hayat who made 52, but with his dismissal Hong Kong capitulated quickly, as their hopes of retaining ODI status quickly evaporated.
