The home team can be expected to provide a stiff test for the islanders as they prepare for the World Cricket League Division 5 tournament in Benoni, South Africa in the first week of September.
Jersey will be captained for the first time by Charles Perchard, who has taken over from the recently-retired, long-serving Peter Gough. The vice-captain will be Tony Hawkins-Kay.
The Dutch side will be led by Max O’Dowd, one of the eight who will be taking on Ireland at Malahide. The others are: Ben Cooper, Dan ter Braak, Quirijn Gunning, Stef Myburgh, Shane Snater, Tobias Visée, Asad Zulfiqar and Saqib Zulfiqar.
The remaining members of the eleven-man squad are Gunning's VRA new-ball partner, Fred Klaassen, and HCC allrounder Hidde Overdijk.
With Snater linking up with Klaassen, Gunning and Overdijk skipper O’Dowd will have plenty of pace at his disposal, with himself and Saqib Zulfiqar able to offer spinning options.
This match, and the three-day North Sea Pro Series match scheduled for Utrecht next week, will also provide useful batting practice for Myburgh, Cooper and the Zulfiqar brothers, who are likely to form key elements of the line-up which faces Ireland.
