The Irish Universities final will be a repeat of last year's showpiece decider after DIT produced a stunning run chase to beat favourites Dublin University, while Ulster University thumped NUI Galway by 133 runs in the other semi-final.
Will von Behr's unbeaten 119 propelled Trinity to 296 for 4 in their clash with holders DIT at Derriaghy.
The Trinity opener struck 12 fours and 2 sixes in a fine knock, and was well supported by Matthew Strong (55) and Jayran (34).
Any thoughts it would be a match winning total were quickly dispelled by a text-book chase by DIT, led by half centuries from Michael Cotter (57) and Nithin (56*), with excellent support from Max Byers (40) and Michael Hogan (35).
The target was reached with six overs and four wickets to spare despite the best efforts of Niall Hunt (3-71).
Tim Carson's 5 for 14 helped Ulster to an emphatic 133 run win over NUI Galway at Shaw's Bridge.
Carson's haul saw Galway dismissed for 109 with only Araf (27) and Vipin (13) reaching double figures. Richard Hood (2-27), Stephen Kennedy (1-2), Peter Eakin (1-8), and Matthew McCord (1-19) were the other successful bowlers in an impressive display.
Earlier Peter Eakin's 64 (6 fours, 1 six) top scored as Ulster posted 242. He shared a 3rd wicket stand of 58 with Ross Bryans who smashed a whirlwind 46 from just 26 deliveries (4 fours, 3 sixes).
Johnny Terret (29*), Sam Gordon (28) and Richard Hood (19) all chipped in as Ulster showed their batting depth. For Galway there were two wickets apiece for Galav (2-33), Vipin (2-47), Kumail (2-47), and Nitish (2-61).
The final will be held today (THURS) at Shaw's Bridge starting at 11am, where DIT will be bidding for a hat-trick of titles.
