Scotland's A team bounced back against Durham Seconds to end the first day with honours even at the Emirates Stadium.

Graham Clark's century had taken Durham to a position of strength at 256 for 4, but a batting collapse saw the home side falter, losing six wickets for just 29 runs to finish 285 all out.

Clark struck 11 fours and 4 sixes in his 106 from just 124 balls, sharing stands of 100 with Greenwell (43) and Michael Richardson (51).

Mark Watt (3-32) and Tom Sole (3-45) were chiefly responsible for Durham's collapse, with Scott Cameron (2-36), Ali Evans (1-80) and Adrian Neill (1-48) the other wicket takers.

In reply, Scotland lost wickets at regular intervals with Kyle Coetzer (14), George Munsey (11) and Mark Watt (18) all getting to double figures but failing to kick on.

Michael Jones however capitalised on his opportunity, as the opener finished the day unbeaten on 56 from 75 balls (7 fours).

He was given good support by Dylan Budge (20*) as the Scots finished on 139 for 4, leaving the contest evenly balanced.
