Former South Africa wicket-keeper Morne van Wyk is set to join ACC Amsterdam for the coming season, subject to visa requirements . The 38 ear-old former South Africa international last turned out for his country as recently as 2015 against New Zealand, and continues to turn out for Dolphins.
In addition to filling the space left behind the stumps by the departing Mangaliso Mosehle, van Wyk is an aggressive batsman either opening or down the order, and can be called upon to turn his arm over to provide some useful left arm spin.
In addition to his 25 international caps, van Wyk has enjoyed long and distinguished career in South African domestic cricket as well as outings for the Kolkata Knight Riders and Quetta Gladiators and, boasts a T20I century and a first class double ton.
The veteran keeper-bat will bring a wealth of experience to the youthful Amsterdam side as they look forward to their first season under new captain Saqib Zulfiqar.
