Scotland legend Kari Anderson has retired from international cricket following their World Cup exit on Monday to Pakistan.

Anderson's influence on Scottish cricket goes beyond mere statistics, but the numbers are so impressive as to be worth closer examination.

She is Scotland's most capped player winning 152 caps in  an illustrious career.

She tops the batting aggregate list with her 3560 runs coming at an average of 31.79 - also top if the list.

Her runs included two centuries and 23 fifties, many of which were in match-winning causes.

Her haul of 159 wickets sees her also top the all-time list, as does her feat of 42 catches, marking her out as a truly outstanding cricketer in all three formats.

CricketEurope Scotland Editor David Potter paid tribute to her saying: "All the best to Kari Carswell (Anderson).

"A great performance for your country and an inspiration to all other aspiring women looking to play at the highest standard.

"All the best for your retirement and for the future whatever it may bring."
