Ireland Women easily beat Scotland Women in Sharjah in the first of two scheduled warm-up matches.
The YMCA pair of Lucy O'Reilly and Gaby Lewis played prominent roles in a dominant display as the Girls in Green totally outplayed the Wildcats who showed rustiness having just arrived in the UAE the previous day.
O'Reilly claimed 4 for 14 as Scotland were dismissed for 133, with Kathyrn Bryce top scoring with 29.
Sam Haggo (14*), Rachael Scholes (13) and Olivia Rae (10) were the other Scottish players to reach double figures.
There was a brace apiece for leg-spinner Ciara Metcalfe (2-13) and Louise McCarthy (2-21), while the other Irish wicket takers were Isobel Joyce (1-17) and Robyn Lewis (1-25).
Irish openers Meg Kendal and Cecelia Joyce got the Irish reply off to a flying start, taking advantage of anything loose.
Kendal struck 8 boundaries in a fluent 39 from just 36 balls, while Joyce struck 5 fours in her 28 before both retired.
Kim Garth, fresh from her Big Bash success, was the only wicket to fall for 29 before the modest Scotland total was passed.
Ireland batted on, with skipper Laura Delany (27) and Shauna Kavanagh (24) both spending useful time in the middle as six of the top eight all got among the runs.
Only the experienced duo of Isobel Joyce (5) and Clare Shillington (2) fell cheaply.
The innings of the day though came from teenager Gaby Lewis at number 8. She dominated the late overs striking 8 fours from just 44 deliveries as Ireland finished on 246.
Abtaha Maqsood (2-27) was the pick of the Scotland attack.
The teams meet again at the same venue on Thursday (6am UK/Ireland).
