Corey Bisson proved the Channel Islanders hero as he thumped five fours in an unbeaten 42 from just 31 balls to seal the famous win.
He received excellent support from Jake Dunford (13*) who managed to get singles to get Bisson the strike when required.
Earlier Italy's innings was given an excellent foundation by South African born Gian-Pierre Meade who top scored with 61 from 74 balls (7 fours).
Skipper Damian Crowley was also among the runs with 58 at better than a run a ball (8 fours) sharing an excellent stand of 91 in 76 balls with Carl Sandri (40).
