The USA are now the only unbeaten side in Division Four of the World Cricket League as they beat Oman and Denmark lost to Bermuda today at Woodley Park in Los Angeles.

At Wright Field, USA captain Steven Taylor won the toss and asked Oman to bat first. Their innings started badly when Zeeshan Maqsood was bowled by Ali Khan for a duck in the first over and never really recovered.

Swapnil Khadye top scored with 36 before he was bowled by Steven Taylor. Timil Patel took 5-22 - his second five wicket haul in the tournament - as Oman were bowled out for 163.

The hosts had little trouble chasing that target, largely thanks to a fine innings from Steven Taylor, who scored an unbeaten 124 from 95 balls to lead his team to an eight wicket win with 20 overs still to come.

Over on Wong Field, Denmark also asked their opponents - Bermuda - to bat first after skipper Michael Pedersen won the toss. Bermuda lost Kamau Leverock early on, but recovered thanks to a 71 run partnership for the second wicket between Oliver Pitcher and Delray Rawlins, who has played for Sussex Second XI this year.

The partnership ended when Pitcher was bowled by Saif Ahmad for 31, with Rawlins following soon afterwards for 39 when he was trapped lbw by Hamid Shah. The next highest score was Dion Stovell's 38, whilst Jordan DeSilva chipped in down the order with an unbeaten 33. Denmark didn't help themselves, conceding 36 extras including 26 wides in the Bermuda total of 221.

Denmark collapsed to 21-4 early on in their reply, and never really recovered from there. Zameer Khan top scored with 47, and Yasir Iqbal contributed 39, but Denmark scored too slowly and never threatened the Bermudians. Jordan DeSilva was the pick of the bowlers with 4-23, whilst Janeiro Tucker took 3-29 as Denmark were bowled out for 183, losing by 38 runs.

The hosts will look to continue their winning run when they take on Denmark later today, whilst Oman will look to bounce back when they take on Italy. Jersey will take on Bermuda as they look for a second win.
