Basir Shah's four-wicket haul spun Denmark to a comfortable six-wicket win over Jersey as the Channel Islanders failed to capitalise on a solid opening stand.
In a contest reduced to 40 overs, Jersey openers Nat Watkins (30) and skipper Peter Gough (22) shared an opening stand of 54 before the introduction of Shah sparked a collapse.
He took a Man of the Match 4 for 20 as Jersey stumbled to 87 for 5, despite a breezy cameo of 22 from Jonty Jenner.
Tony Hawkins-Kay (35) and Corey Bisson (27) shared a sixth wicket stand of 48 to take Jersey to 135 for 5 with 10 overs left and with genuine hopes of posting 200.
However another collapse saw five wickets fall in a cluster for just 23 runs to finish on 158 all out.
Aftab Ahmed (3-22)and Hamid Shah (2-39) were also among the wickets in an impressive display.
Despite the early loss of skipper Freddie Klokker (9) - caught by Rob McBey off the bowling of Tony Hawkins-Kay, Denmark had little trouble knocking off the modest total.
Saif Ahmad hit an unbeaten 67 from 80 balls (7 fours, 1 six) sharing stands of 49 with Aftab Ahmad (29) and 83 with Hamid Shah (41).
Ben Kynman's 3 for 45 gave the scorecard a semblance of respectability but Denmark's six wicket win achieved with 47 balls to spare was still enough to take them above USA and Oman on NRR.
Monday is a rest day in LA, and Jersey will aim to regroup when they face Italy On Tusday, while Denmark face Bermuda.
