Rain has spoilt another day at Europe Division 2 in Stockholm with only two matches able to see any play. Two matches have now been completely abandoned, whilst two further matches will have another attempt to play them on the final afternoon tomorrow.

In the morning, the matches at Skarpnack - Isle of Man v Spain and Sweden v Israel - were both washed out, and another attempt to play those will happen tomorrow afternoon. Over at Gardet though, a full match was able to happen, with Gibraltar winning the toss and choosing to bat first against Germany.

Gibraltar struggled with the bat though against some tight German bowling, and could only manage 81-9 from their 20 overs, Iain Latin top scoring with 19. Amith Sarma top scored for Germany in their reply, scoring an unbeaten 41 as they completed an eight wicket win with 4.2 overs to spare.

The afternoon session saw an attempt to replay the matches originally scheduled for Thursday afternoon. At Skarpnack again though, both matches were washed out. These matches - Germany v Spain and Sweden v Gibraltar have now been completely abandoned with the teams sharing the points.

The match between Israel and the Isle of Man at Gardet though managed to see play. The Manxmen had already won the toss and chose to bowl first before the rain came yesterday. The Israeli innings was led by Josh Evans, who scored 50 from 44 balls. Arnie van den Berg was the pick of the Manx bowlers with 3-21 as Israel reached 119-8 from their 20 overs.

Adam McAuley top scored for the Isle of Man in their reply, making 43 before he was the fifth man out. Nobody else managed to get a start though, and runs were coming too slowly. They batted out their overs but fell short, making 109-6 and losing by ten runs.

Tomorrow morning, Germany will play Israel at Skarpnack knowing that a win (or a washout) will secure the tournament for them. The other game at Skarpnack will see the hosts play the Isle of Man, but the most intriguing contest of the whole tournament will be at Gardet as Gibraltar will take on Spain in what would appear to be the first international at senior level between the two sides in any sport.
