Scotland's T20 World Cup preparations suffered a jolt as they slipped to a 14 run loss to Oman in their warm-up game.
Chasing an impressive Oman total of 161 for 6, Scotland suffered a top order collapse as they were reduced to 14 for 14, with Calum MacLeod, Matthew Cross and Matt Machan scoring one run between them.
Richie Berrington (32) and skipper Preston Mommsen (30) repaired the damage with a 57 run stand, but the required rate put pressure on the lower order.
George Munsey struck some lusty blows in an unbeaten 48 from just 30 balls (5 fours, 2 sixes), and Josh Davey chipped in with 18, but Oman held their nerve to secure a morale boosting win.
Ajay Lalcheta (3-26) was their most impressive performer.
Earlier Oman had been indebted to an opening stand of 72 from Zeeshan Maqsood (58) and Khawar Ali (29), which formed the basis for their impressive total.
Mark Watt (3-22) was the pick of the Scottish attack, with Richie Berrington (1-23) and Matt Machan (0-15) also showing impressive control.
The news wasn't so good for Josh Davey who conceded 40 from his four overs, while Ali Evans sprayed the ball around, conceding 28 runs from his two overs.
