Namibia have failed to record another sensational win in the Under-19 World Cup as they lost to India today by 197 runs in Fatullah.

India batted first after skipper Ishan Kishan won the toss. The captain was out early on in the innings, but the second wicket pairing of Risabh Pant and Anmolpreet Singh put on 103 for the second wicket before Singh was out for 41.

As he did against Nepal Pant took a liking to an associate bowling attack, scoring 111 from 96 balls before he was the third man out in the 29th over. The run scoring didn't stop, with Sarfaraz Khan and Armaan Jaffer scoring 76 and 64 respectively.

India's final total was 349-6 from their 50 overs. Fritz Coetzee was the pick of the Namibian bowlers with 3-78.

Namibia's reply started promisingly with Sybrand Loftie-Eaton and Niko Davin putting on 59 for the first wicket before Davin was bowled by Rahul Batham for 33. That was to be the highest score for Namibia though as wickets fell regularly from that point on.

Mayan Dagar and Anmolpreet Singh both took three wickets as Namibia were bowled out for 152 to lose by 197 runs.

Both teams will next be in action on Tuesday. India will play the winner of tomorrow's England v Sri Lanka quarter final in the semi-final, whilst Namibia will play the loser of that match in the 5th place play-off semi-final.
