Scotland slipped to a 114 run defeat by hosts Bangladesh in their second match at the U19 World Cup.
Early wickets from the impressive Mohammad Ghaffar (4-40) had Bangladesh reeling on 17 for 2, but a man of the match century from Nazmul Hossain Shanto saw them recover to post 256 for 6.
Shanto made an unbeaten 113 from 117 balls (10 fours), sgaring successive century stands with Saif Hussain (49) and Mehedi Miraz (51).
Mitchell Rao (1-43) and Ryan Brown (1-48) were the other wicket takers for Scotland.
The Scots reply got off to a steady start with Neil Flack (28) and Rory Johnston (20) sharing an opening stand of 48.
They fell in quick succession and it took a composed half century from Azeem Dar to take them to resoectability.
Jack Waller chipped in with 24 but six wickets fell for just 29 runs as the ever increasing required run rate took its toll.
The defeat consigns Scotland to the Plate competition, surprisingly along with holders South African, who lost to Namibia.
Namibia become the second Associate side to reach the Super Eight phase - joining Nepal who qualified on Saturday.
Scotland play their final group game against South Africa on Tuesday.
