Scotland defeated Fiji by 21 runs in their final warm up match which was reduced to 36 overs a side after fog delayed the start.

Neil Flack won the toss and decided to bat first in Fatullah.

They got off to a shaky start as Dar (12) Waller (7) and Flack (1) were all dismissed cheaply to leave them in trouble on 33 for 3.

However Shah (35) McCreath (36) brought them back into the match and Rory Johnston of Forfarshire batting at six hit the highest score of the innings being the last man to be dismissed, run out from the final ball of the innings.

He made 53 from 67 balls and hit four fours as Scotland closed on 192 for 8.

Baleicikoibia was the pick of the Fiji attack finishing with 3 for 26 with Tikoisuva and Charters picking up two wickets each.

Fiji got off to a steady reply with opener Maraiwai holding the top order together. He had made 57 when he fell to Dar well caught by Ryan Brown to make it 106 for 4 in the nineteenth over.

His departure gave the Scottish attack a lift and four wickets fell for the addition of 24 runs to put Scotland on top.

Yabaki with a blistering run of boundaries threatened to pull off the win for Fiji but he ran out of partners to finish on 36 not out as Fiji fell 21 runs short.

He finished on 36 from 16 balls and had hit five fours and two sixes.

Haris Aslam with 4 for 39 from his eight overs was the pick of the attack and was well supported by Mitchell Rao with 3 for 22 and Azeem Dar with 2 for 18.

Scotland will take confidence from this win as the look to get their World Cup campaign off to a winning start when they meet Namibia next Friday.
