The first ever First Class game to be played in Hong Kong has yet to get underway, with overnight rain and persistently overcast and gloomy conditions keeping the Hong Kong and Scotland players sidelined throughout the first day.

Damp patches on the outfield were the chief source of concern, and without and Sun or wind to assist in the drying process a series of pitch inspections came inevitably to the same conclusion.

With worse weather forecast over the next few days - heavy rain expected tomorrow and temperatures set to drop into single digits by Sunday - the prospects of a result are diminishing. With Scotland still chasing there first win in the competition the prospect of shared points is unlikely to appeal.
