From the highs of the opening day win against Papua New Guinea to the lows of a heavy defeat to the tournament favourites Bangladesh for Scotland.

Put into bat by Bangladeshi captain Jahanara Alam, Scotland were unimpressive to say the least. Kathryn Bryce's 12 was the only score in double figures as they were rolled over for just 53, Rumana Ahmed taking 3-9.

Bangladeshi openers Ayasha Rahman and Sharmin Akhter almost did the job themselves, putting on 53 before two wickets in two balls prevented a ten wicket win. The six dot balls that followed was a case of too little pressure way too late, and Rumana Ahmed eventually scored the winning single.

A disappointing performance all round for Scotland in the 8 wicket defeat, and they will look to bounce back when they take on hosts Thailand on Tuesday. Bangladesh, with a good net run rate after two big wins have all but secured their place in the semi-finals, but they will look to make sure when they play Papua New Guinea on Tuesday.
