Ireland's U19 cricketers made it two wins from two at the U19 World Cup Qualifiers in Malaysia after a comprehensive 8 wicket win over the USA.
A fine bowling display saw the States dismissed for exactly 100, with Strabane's Aaron Gillespie having the impressive analysis of 3 for 16.
The Phoenix pair of Rory Anders and Ben White picked up two wickets apiece, while the other successful bowlers were Gary McClintock (1-10), Josh Little (1-12) and Tom Stanton (1-24).
That modest total proved no challenge whatsoever to the Irish as they raced to the win in just 15.4 overs.
Skipper Jack Tector led the way with 60 from 54 balls (7 fours), dominating an opening stand of 75 with Sonny Cott (17).
Gary McClintock (9*) finished the one-sided encounter with a six, while Adam Dennison (5*) was the other batsman who made it to the crease.
Ireland are currently in second place in the table - behind leaders Nepal on NRR.
The Irish are in action again tomorrow (MON) when they face Uganda, who beat PNG by 9 wickets in the other game today.
