Five players from NW clubs have been named in the Ireland U19 squad which will play in the World Cup Qualifying tournament in Malaysia next month.

Coleraine spinner Varun Chopra's excellent season with the Bannsiders is rewarded with a call-up.

He joins Donemana twins Gary and William McClintock, Breday wicket-keeper/batsman Andrew Austin and Strabane all-rounder Aaron Gillespie.

Ireland will place against Papua New Guinea, USA, Uganda and Nepal for the final qualification slot for the tournament in Bangladesh next January and February.
