PNG won a rain affected T20 WCQ warm-up game against Kenya at Bready - 9 runs ahead on DLS when play was abandoned following a torrential downpour.
A disciplined bowling attack, backed up by an athletic display in the field ensured PNG kept a tight rein on the Kenyan batting line up until the final few overs.
Assadollah Vala (2-16) and Mahuru Dai (2-23) both bowled with great guile and subtle variations to stop the Kenyans getting any momentum.
Shem Ngoche and Lecas Ndandson both struck lusty blows as 42 came off the last 21 balls of the Kenya innings to take them to 141 for 8.
Ngoche struck three maximums in his 24 from 18 balls, while Ndandason cleared the ropes twice in his 9 ball score of 20.
Earlier Rakep Patel (21) had looked in fine touch before his dismissal.
In the PNG reply, Lega Siaka raced to 18 before falling to left-arm spinner Shem Ngoche, while Tony Ura (15) was run out following a mix up just before the heavens opened.
A morale boosting win for PNG who continue to impress, while Kenya remain inconsistent, mixing occasional flashes of brilliance with some very ordinary fare indeed.
