Half centuries from Adam Dennison and William McClintock ensured Ireland Under 19s crushed Denmark by seven wickets at Claremont Road in a T20 pre-season encounter.
Waringstown batsman Dennison, son of former Irish international Davy, hit a belligerent unbeaten 67 from just 42 deliveries (4 fours, 3 sixes) as the Irish teenagers chased down a modest 136/9 to win with nine balls to spare.
Dennison shared a match winning third wicket stand of 86 with Donemana opener William McClintock, after the early wickets of Fiachra Tucker (6) and Nathan Rooney (5).
McClintock's 53 came from 53 balls and contained six boundaries.
Basir Shah (2-11 from 3) was the stand-out performer for a Danish attack which also contained former England Test player Amjad Khan.
Earlier Zameer Khan's 56 from 42 balls (6 fours) provided the backbone of a modest total of 136 for 9.
Indeed, it took a late cameo of 26 in 15 balls from Amjad Khan to even reach that score.
David Murphy claimed 3 for 28, while Merrion's Tom Stanton impressed with 2 for 27.
Rory Anders (1-15) and Fiachra Tucket (1-23) also were to the fore.
