The Indian Association hosted Guernsey and Malaysia today in a match that was reduced to 45 overs after a late start due to yesterday's rain.

Guernsey made 212 in its innings with Jeremy Frith top scoring with 79. Frith's wicket was claimed by Mandrick Singh who was the pick of Malaysia bowlers with 3-33.

Malaysia, in its run-chase, was reduced to 46-3 before captain Suhan Alagaratanam steadied the innings with Aminudin Ramly.

Ramly scored a solid 52 off 69 balls before he was run-out but Alagaratanam, who had required a runner half way through his innings, returned unbeaten on 80 as Malaysia finished off the match with five overs to spare and four wickets in hand.

Man of the match Alagaratanam said: 'Today was a really tough innings. I needed a runner once I got past 50 as I was struggling somewhat with the heat and also with an injury. But that didn't stop us winning today and I hope it will not stop us winning tomorrow against Botswana.

'I'm confident my side can do well and we'll take the same plans and preparations into tomorrow's game at Kalang.'
