Botswana will prepare for the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 6 by holding a five-day training camp in Sri Lanka ahead of the event.

It will join Bahrain, Guernsey, Malaysia, Norway and Singapore in trying to win one of two promotion spots on offer to play in Division 5 in Nepal next year.

The side will play three warm-up matches against a Sri Lankan Academy side to help prepare for the event, after it was relegated from Division 5 in 2008.

"The team has been preparing fairly well. It has played a couple of games, and as our league is still on, the league matches have been keeping players active," said Fazal Sheriff in an interview with Mmegi Online.

"The boys are keen and hungry for success and I think they will do well," he added.
