Bahrain skipper Yaser Sadeq believes that his side should be regarded as one of the favourites for the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 7.

As a side that finished fourth in its group at the ACC Elite Trophy 2008, including losing to Afghanistan by just seven runs, it clearly is a team blessed with talent, although it will be interesting to see how it adapts to the conditions in Guernsey.

'We are very confident that we have one of the strongest teams. The only issue is we don't know that much about the other teams so that is also a challenge,' said Yaser Saqeq.

'I think that the home team will have an advantage and they also have experience of European conditions. I also expect Nigeria to do well.'

He also said that his side would adapt quickly to local conditions, despite the fact his side had little European experience.

'The conditions will be overcome in a few games. We are going there in some friendly matches and we should get used to the conditions quickly.'

Bahrain opens its campaign on 17 May against Gibraltar.
