Namibia have named their squad for April's World Cup Qualifier in neighbouring South Africa, and two key players have made themselves unavailable.

Stefan Swanepoel withdrew due to work commitments, and he will be sorely missed at the top of the order. Namibia's opening batsmen, with the exception of Raymond van Schoor, have struggled in their South African domestic campaign, and Namibia were hoping that Swanepoel would be the answer.

The other withdrawal is that of Kola Burger. Burger was the star of Namibia's 2007/08 Intercontinental Cup campaign, where he was top wicket-taker, taking 37 wickets at the average of 15, and was named in the ICC's team of the tournament. After playing in Namibia's three-day match against Northerns last month, he was dropped for the subsequent one-day game, and has refused to play for Namibia since, apparently suffering a falling out with the selectors.

The rest of the squad is pretty much as expected, with the big-hitting Gerrie Snyman set to be the man to watch.
