Billy MacDermott admitted he was a frustrated man after seeing his Argentina side fall 19 runs short of its target against Afghanistan at the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 3.
'It is the second time in a row we have lost a close game and it is a bit frustrating for us,' said MacDermott, the Argentina captain.
'We have been bowling and fielding really well but our batting has been letting us down.'
'Shot selection has not always been the best and sometimes we go for big shots when all we need to do is pick up singles, but hopefully we can learn from this experience.'
MacDermott also paid tribute to the opposition, who managed to dismiss Argentina for 145 all out, having scored 164 all out earlier in the day.
'I would like to say all credit to Afghanistan as they fought really hard and deserved to win in the end,' said MacDermott.
