Hong Kong skipper Tabarak Dar is hopeful his side can repeat its promotion from the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 4 by finishing in the top two in Buenos Aires.
'I think we are quite confident of doing well in Argentina and we are looking forward to the tournament,' said Dar.
It faces a tough opening to the tournament, playing the hosts in the first match and then facing Afghanistan, who it lost to twice in Tanzania.
But Dar said that he is not worried by the fixture list for the tournament.
'As you have to play all the teams, it doesn't matter if you play the strongest or weakest team first,' he said.
'I think the first match will be a key clash for both of us.'
Hong Kong will prepare for the event with a training camp in Colombo, where it will play five practice matches. This is a repeat of the preparations that served them so well at the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 4.
Although he believes it will face a tough tournament, Dar believes that his side is capable of qualification.
'The team is doing well and we feel we are improving. I think we have played a few of these teams previously and I don't think there is a big gap between Division 3 and Division 4 teams,' he said.
