Jersey coach Peter Kirsten will miss the final match of the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League as he prepares to take on a new challenge in his coaching career.

Peter will join his brother Andy on the coaching staff of Kenya and will work on a short-term contract as a batting consultant.

Kenya has important upcoming matches against Ireland in the ICC Intercontinental Cup, a triangular ODI series with Zimbabwe and Ireland, followed by two ODI games against South Africa.

In a statement released by the Jersey Cricket Board, the Board thanked Peter for his work with the side.

'The Board would like to thank 'PK' for successfully coaching Jersey through WCL Division 5 and European Division 2 this year and he goes to Kenya with our best wishes,' said the statement.

Jersey plays Fiji today at Leaders Club in a battle to win fifth place. Both sides have already been relegated to the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 5 which will be played in 2010.
