Afghanistan coach Kabir Khan said that he was proud of his players after it secured promotion from the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 4.

'I am proud of them. It's a great opportunity for us. I am out of words for them,' said Khan.

'We only just qualified for Division 4 and the other team that qualified was Jersey and if you look at them and look us in this tournament then the boys have done really well.'

Khan admitted that his team would enjoy playing in the Division 4 final against Hong Kong tomorrow and was keen of adding another trophy to the cabinet.

'It's important for us as we want to have a clean sheet. As we've qualified the pressure if reduced but winning is a good habit to keep.'

The team will return to Kabul early next week, before beginning preparations to build up to the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 3 in Argentina.

'We will be ready for Division 3 – we've got time on our hands which will help me work on things,' said Khan.

'There are a few flaws that I can see, but if we work on that then we could be a force to be reckoned to with.'
